Once on holiday in the Algarve you must take yourself out of the resort and discover the real Portugal. Here are a few ideas of places to visit and things to do whilst on your holidays in Portugal.

Quateira Market Visit one of the Algarve's largest and liveliest gypsy markets.
Zoomarine Definitely one for the kids! Take your family off for a day at the Zoo with a difference. Zoomarine has dolphins, sea lions, parrots and a theme park. You can also go for a swim if you wish so make sure you pack your swimming costumes. It is also possible to book a swim with the dolphins, be sure to book in advance as places are limited!

Theme Parks
Go Karting at Almancil - A 760m race track that is designed to replicate the Brazilian Circuit of Jacarepagua. There are also various other rides and attractions at the karting track including a mechanical bull, trampolines and electric boats.
Lagos Zoo on the Algarve - A zoo that has over 250 animals that belong to more than 50 different species from all over the world. An educational farm, exotic plants and a whole host of activities on offer.
Krazyworld - Krazyworld is a real mixture of things to do, in a way there's something for everyone, a large swimming pool with sun beds set within nice gardens, two crazy golf courses, a reptile area, an animal petting area and even a large elephant and some great horses. There is even a fun fair area.
