Holidays to Lloret De Mar, Spain
About Lloret De Mar
Lloret De Mar Lloret de Mar is the largest resort on the Costa Brava. Originally a small fishing village it has developed into a thriving resort that is a major tourist destination befitting that of a modern and dynamic cosmopolitan town.
Lloret de Mar’s mild climate makes it the perfect year round destination. The 7 km of coastline and the beaches and coves of Lloret have been awarded year after year the EU blue flag. The beach at Lloret is made up of coarse, golden sand and shingle, shelving quite steeply into the clear sea, backed by an attractive, tree-lined promenade. In the neighbouring area of Fenals there is a quieter beach with a watersports club on the beach and restaurants and cafes lining the sea front.
With its impressive natural surroundings Lloret is the ideal place to combine a restful beach holiday with outdoor activities including watersports, hiking, mountain biking, golf, tennis, horse riding and motor rallies.
Lloret de Mar also makes a great base to explore the nearby towns and cities such as Barcelona, the Old Town and port of Blanes and for children there is the popular local Water World.
After sunset, Lloret de Mar nightlife takes over and offers visitors a wide and varied range of night-time leisure activities, different ambiences all in the same area and lots of fun right into the early hours. There are many different restaurants catering for all tastes in the resort and plenty of pubs and bars to relax in afterwards. International cuisine is hugely popular due to the cosmopolitan nature of this resort, but you can find restaurants serving some local specialities, as well as some classic Spanish cuisine.
